smart home MASTERY was founded with the hope that it would help others use technology to improve their way of life, specifically their home life. All too often technology makes our lives more complicated, rather than simpler. We focus on the use of home automation technologies, renewable energy, and home entertainment systems that help you improve your quality-of-life by freeing up your time, helping you to have less of an impact on the environment, and by creating a more relaxing home.

About me:

I have been interested in computers, electronics, and technology my entire life. At a young age, I was taking apart my electronic toys, to see how they worked... to my mother's dismay.

In high school, I was helping my friends install electronics in their cars, I was installing speakers, and stereos at my home, and repairing electrical devices for local businesses. I installed lights, and speakers outside my parent's house, so that my friend and I could play basketball all night long. I was creating simple computer games for other to play.

Because of this passion, I went to college for, and got a degree in Computer Engineering Technology.

Since graduating, I have been through many different areas of technology: electronics repair, software development, software QC, technical support, network administration, network engineering, systems engineering, data center design, data center construction, and management experience in Operations, and IT. I'm currently an IT Executive.

I also started my own electronics, and electrical integration company, where we specialized in home automation, renewable energy (PV systems), and home theaters. That business was successful, but with two young kids, the time involved in building a house, and a full time job, it was too much, and I decided to close it down.

Now that my kids are a little older, I decided that it was time to get back into the niche that has been my passion for so long. Since I can't do your integrations for you, I decided to start this site, with the hope that it will provide you with the resources that you need to be able to do it yourself, or at least educate yourself enough to seek out the right professional, so that you can start enjoying more time with your family, reducing your energy consumption, and enjoying the relaxation, and entertainment that whole house audio, and home theaters can offer.

I know technology can be very overwhelming, confusing, and downright frustrating at times, but it is my hope that the resources available on this site make it less so.
